At SHOBI, students not only develop composition and arrangement skills, but also learn in a way that encourages individuality and nurtures self-direction. They will learn a wide range of skills required of today's music creators including DTM/DAW, recording and video production for online platforms as well as essential knowledge such as music copyright.
We produce graduates who can adapt to diverse music scenes and the needs of the times as well as play active roles across the music industry.

Experienced instructors active on the front lines of the music industry & a comprehensive curriculum

Over the course of 2 years, students follow a comprehensive curriculum taught by instructors who are active professionals in the music industry. From music theory, DTM/DAW and recording techniques to the use of various instruments, students gain knowledge ranging from the fundamentals to advanced skills. In addition, all students will receive personalized lessons, allowing them to focus on specific topics they wish to explore in greater depth.

A premier and professional music production environment & department label 'D-MAC RECORDS'

Students can immerse themselves in music production under a truly professional and top-tier environment, including collaborations with other departments and recordings using orchestral performances. Additionally, the department operates its own label 'D-MAC RECORDS', which produces compilation albums of student works selected through on-campus auditions and distributes them online.

Music Industry Auditions for Debut

Every year in autumn, professionals from the music industry are invited and auditions are held. This audition, made possible by SHOBI's past achievements, is a chance for students who wish to become professional composers to appeal directly to the industry's talent scouts.
