A "Love of Music" is the starting point of your two years at the Music Business Department and to become good partners for artists is our main purpose. The teachers in the Music Business Department are all people who are currently working or have worked at the frontlines of the music industry in the past. They are your seniors in the music industry, here to help cultivate the next generation by providing support to each and every student.

Employment Support System Aiming for 100% Employment Rate
The 2017 graduates have a job offer/employment rate of 95.7%. The employment support system starts immediately in April after entrance to the SHOBI starting from career guidance for students to understand the occupation and broaden their knowledge to increase their ability to take action toward job searching. Furthermore, a number of companies are invited for a joint corporate briefing for the students and there are also corporate training opportunities.

Curriculum Designed to Link you to a New Generation in Music Business
With lecturers who are active at the forefront of the industry, the curriculum is designed to teach students the skills that are actually required of someone working in the entertainment industry. Lessons to nurture a creative mind needed to correspond to the ever-changing music industry such as the 'Idea Theory' lessons and 'Programming Lecture' also allow the student to build their entrepreneur potential.

Hands-on Practice of the Music Industry 'Kasuga-gumi'
Kasuga-gumi, aiming to broadcast information from Kasuga where SHOBI is located, plans and produces the bi-monthly music information magazine 'Recommender', and organizes and runs department-organized lives allowing for a hands-on experience of the music industry by simulating an actual music business approach.

Making music with the aim of creating hits, managing good human resources, inspiring live performances and concerts as well as freely manipulating diversifying media creatives. Then after 2 years of activities as "Kasuga-gumi", be ready to dive into the heart of the industry!
