As with the name of the department, it is a must to be aiming to become a professional. To debut is just one passing point. To make music your life's work is the final target. To be able to consistently move the audience and fans as a musician, the ability to continue your activities in the music scene is crucial. During these two years, students will have the time to contemplate the things they are missing and the things necessary to make their dreams come true. SHOBI provides the environment for you to find that certain 'something', nurturing you to become a musician capable of moving people's hearts.

Creating and recording your original songs! Deliver your sound to the world!

The aim is to create your own songs. Selections are made during the 'FIRST STEP AUDITION' held by the department. Exceptional students will participate in recording sessions at the school studios with professional recording engineer instructors. The completed demo will be distributed on the department's YouTube channel and can also be used as a demo for your own promotional activities!

You will definitely improve through a wide range of practical classes!

In small-group 'Applied Major' classes, you will refine your individual playing technique, while 'Ensemble' and 'Rhythm Section Works' classes help you learn communication through group performance. In addition, there are many practical classes such as 'Basic Technique' and 'Improvisation' that are designed to ensure your skills steadily improve.

Various Live Concert Experiences and Auditions that lead to Debut

You can gain stage experience by take part in on-campus livestreaming concert and performances at ensemble exams. Furthermore, there are also various auditions held such as the 'RISE UP AUDITION' with judges from music industry and SHOBI's internal audition, the 'S-1 Audition'.
